Product DescriptionEvolved specifically for speed and high performance, KAPA2G Fast HotStart offers Fast PCR based on the intrinsic ability of the KAPA2G Fast HotStart DNA polymerase to synthesize DNA at a much faster rate than wild-type polymerases. As little as 1 second per kilobase extension rate allows for increased productivity and faster time to results without sacrificing performance. Any existing PCR assay performed efficiently with wild-type Taq polymerase may be converted to a Fast PCR assay with KAPA2G Fast HotStart DNA Polymerase. Typically, very little re-optimization of reaction parameters is required. Fast PCR assays with KAPA2G Fast HotStart may be performed with any conventional Peltier-based thermocycler and thin-walled PCR tubes or plates. KAPA2G Fast HotStart PCR Kits are designed for the fast amplification of DNA fragments up to 5kb in standard end-point PCR assays, using reaction volumes up to 25μl.
