Description

LABGENE-32 extraction robot is designed to meet the requirements for nucleic acid purification with high efficiency and purity.

Robust and reliable technology

The magnetic beads provide a high surface area for binding. The use of the LABGENE-32 with magnetic beads allows for the uniform distribution of the beads in the buffers.

The robot uses 4 x 8-rod magnetic heads in order to move the nucleic acids along with the magnetic beads through the different extraction steps : lysis, binding, washing, and elution.

This technique considerably limits sample and reagent cross-contamination thanks to the automated distribution of liquids. The robustness of the LABGENE-32 is guaranteed by the stability of its magnetic head. The comb holder protects the head from instrument vibrations. Operator security is ensured thanks to a safety which automatically stops powering the device if the cover is opened.

Versatile, high throughput programs

LABGENE-32 programs use universal DNA/RNA protocols, common to all sample types and pathogens : in the same test run, it is possible to extract DNA or RNA from multiple pathogens or sample types (biological fluids, swabs, cell culture, tissue lysats, soil, and faeces).

LABGENE-32 allows to purify 32 samples in short times :

  • 20 minutes with the ID Gene Mag Fast Universal Extraction Kit
  • 40 minutes with the ID Gene Mag Universal Extraction Kit

User-friendly

LABGENE-32 is supplied with pre-programmed protocols. The user can also easily create his own protocols.

Consumables

LABGENE-32 uses polypropylene consumables suited to extraction and purification with magnetic beads. Thanks to their low binding affinity for biomolecules, these consumables allow for the efficient homogenisation and collection of magnetic beads :
